Baltimore Ravens’ Wide Receiver Torrey Smith and Washington Redskins’ Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan are taking the battle off the field and onto the courts in an All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game.

On March 29, Smith and Ravens teammates will take on Kerrigan and Redskins teammates in a friendly game of basketball at the University of Maryland Comcast Center. Proceeds will benefit The Torrey Smith Foundation and Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation. Past celebrities in attendance include players like Smith, Joe Flacco, Joe Haden, Anthony Armstrong and many more.

This is Smith’s fourth All-Star Basketball Game. “It’s my favorite Foundation Event,” says Smith. “We’ve been getting bigger and better. We used to hold it in my hometown, but there wasn’t enough space this year. We’re trying to get 5,000 people out here.”

To take the event to the next level, Smith suggested it be held at his alma mater, the University of Maryland. “I think it’s really cool to be back here,” he says. “It’s all about giving back to the people that got you where you are.”

While Smith is a veteran to the event, Kerrigan is a fresh face. “I just started the Blitz for the Better Foundation last year,” Kerrigan says. “I think this event will be a lot of fun. Torrey has a jump start on me since he has been doing this for years. I’m hoping our Redskins fans are there to support, sporting burgundy and gold. Hail to the Redskins!”

Tickets for the Battle of the Beltway are $15 in advance and $20 week of. They are available today at TorreySmith.org and RyanKerrigan.org or by calling the Comcast Center Box Office at 1-800-462-TERP.
Doors open at 4 p.m, tip off is at 5 p.m.
