BALTIMORE, MD  – Baltimore Ravens’ Torrey Smith and Washington Redskins’ Ryan Kerrigan announced the first round of celebrities expected to play in their All-Star Charity Basketball Game, Battle of the Beltway on March 29.

Players from across the National Football League will join in the charitable event, including Ravens Gerrard Sheppard, Haloti Ngata, Jacoby Jones, Lardarius Webb, Marlon Brown, Terrell Suggs and Tyrod Taylor. They will face Redskins DeAngelo Hall, Chris Neild, Niles Paul, Darryl Tapp, Nick Williams and Kirk Cousins. Other celebrity guests include Marcell Dareus (Bills), Greg Hardy (Panthers), T.Y. Hilton (Colts), AJ Francis (Dolphins), LeSean McCoy (Eagles), Anquan Boldin (49ers), LaQuan Williams, Big Tigger and Cleveland Browns Greg Little, Joe Haden, Josh Gordon and Tori Gurley.  *

Both Smith and Kerrigan continue to recruit players – aiming to craft the winning team. This is Smith’s fourth year hosting the charity game, but the first year bringing it to the state of Maryland.

“I started the game when I started the Torrey Smith Foundation, four years ago. It was a fun way to give back to my hometown in Colonial Beach, Virginia. But my high school gym only holds 2,500 fans. We’ve outgrown it.” So Smith brought the game to University of Maryland, his alma mater.

“The game is at University of Maryland Comcast Center – that’s Redskins Territory,” says Kerrigan. “I think it will be fun to have all of us in one place. We’re going to have a blast no matter who the victors are – but I’m looking forward to a Redskins win.”

The Battle of the Beltway will be held at University of Maryland’s Comcast Center on March 29. Doors open at 4 p.m. for fun, family-friendly activities like face painting, photo booths and penny wars. Fans are encouraged to come donning their team’s colors and prepared to cheer loud. They might also want to brush up on their dance moves.

Tickets are $15 and going fast! Visit or to purchase today. Proceeds benefit the Torrey Smith Foundation and Ryan Kerrigan Blitz for the Better Foundation. Ticket prices will increase to $20 the week of the event.

**Please note: there will be no allotted time for autographs at this event.
